the song of the earth
Samhain night watch in sisterhood
THE NIGHT IS OUR TEMPLE.
The Earth sings in silence, the fire answers in glowing embers.
Our songs open the gateway to the voices of the foremothers.
Samhain – Night of the Threshold
Samhain is the time when the veil between worlds grows thin, inviting us to let go and surrender to transformation. On this sacred night we gather in sisterhood, coming together around the fire — to sing, to be silent, and to hold one another.
Here, a space opens where we honor the voices of our foremothers and reconnect with our own power. Together we remember that darkness is not emptiness, but the origin and the womb of what is yet to be born.
program
On October 31st, we open the space until 4 p.m. for arrival and a light meal to ground and connect us. As evening falls, we set out together on a threshold walk into the darkness — a conscious journey that attunes us to the gateway of Samhain.
From there, we enter the night within the yurt. Around the fire, silence and song are woven together. Rituals and cacao lead us deeper into encounter — with ourselves, with one another, and with the foremothers. Together we keep vigil, until the night itself begins to turn.
In the early morning hours, we come to rest and sleep together in the yurt. November 1st begins with a shared potluck breakfast, before we bring our time together to a close around 2 p.m.
